We were tasked to expand the new brand language of Magic Leap into a comprehensive web design system, which would serve as the foundation for the online expression of the brand in anticipation of the release of their new AR device, Magic Leap 2. Our approach centered on highlighting the core attributes of the brand: transparency, precision, a bright, light and open feel, as well as the human-focused yet high-end technological aspiration. To achieve this, we devised a system that incorporated a visible grid, precisely aligned elements, and a layered information framework. In addition, to position Magic Leap as more than just a manufacturer of best-in-class devices, we designed a news and notification system tailored to the interests of the various audience types, thereby presenting Magic Leap more as a digital platform.

Visual guideline pages
We developed a comprehensive set of detailed visual guidelines that will serve as a blueprint for the design of future web applications and expansions. By providing a clear and consistent visual language for Magic Leap’s brand within the web space, it can be ensured that digital products are aligned with the brand identity and values, while maintaining a cohesive user experience.
